Ten times a day you have to surpass yourself, ten times a day you have to reconcile with yourself, ten truths a day you have to find otherwise the worst enemy you will ever find will be yourself. The dust was mixed with saliva, do you remember how many years we kept our mouths shut? How many years we kept our fucking mouths shut, Pete? But our hands were playing, we played loving notes of life, because in love there is always dementia but in dementia there is always a bit of reason, reason that led us to spit out the dust in our mouths and make music. Spontaneous music. Thoughtful music. Powerful music. Music for everyone and for no one. Maybe it's just music for ourselves. Or maybe it's just music. It's definitely our music. And with The Mouth Mixt with Dust we found ourselves, reunited to give birth to four wonderful daughters, aware that you don't kill with the hour but with a smile, so we searched for the creator, not corpses, not flocks and faithful. We creators seek the creator, the one who writes new values on new tablets, new dreams on old memories, new melodies on new beats.
BIO
Durga was born from a creative drive that rejects stereotypes. Rooted in a solid death metal foundation, they intertwine experimentation, dark atmospheres, and timbral exploration, building a constantly evolving language. Their music isn't limited to one genre: it's transformation, instinct, and freedom. A constantly metamorphosing flow that follows the inspiration and expressive need of the moment.
The project's origins date back to 2018, when Jacopo and Pietro began composing together, creating a recognizable and impulsive creative core, destined to become the essence of Durga. From that partnership, a path was born that, despite the young lineup, has quickly led them to gain a foothold in the Tuscan underground scene.
In recent years, the band has graced increasingly prominent stages, bringing intense and captivating live performances to events such as FollSonica Big Night, Margini Fest, and Firenze Metal, establishing itself as an emerging and constantly growing presence.
In November 2025, Durga released their first EP, From Dust To Dust, available on all digital platforms. A work that perfectly captures their identity: songs built on complex yet never overdone arrangements, guided by an unconventional structure that makes each track dynamic, alive, and unpredictable. A balance between power and detail, strength and vision.
This is Durga: a project born from metal but looking beyond, constantly evolving, fueled by authenticity, experimentation, and pure energy.
